Sure you didn't just lose a bolt? I would take it apart and weld it up if it's possible.

I just got done doing the rebuild to the seat tracks that ends the rocking chair. To my surprise I found that the left rear mount that is the hinge point for the power up and down was broken at the seat rail (also a 2000). Being a casting it was not weldable, so I had to fabricate out of steel a new plate. It was not that hard to do, the hardest part was making sure that the hole for the cross rod is at the proper offset to the plate on the seat rail. You also will have to grind off the rivet that holds the old plate to the rail. I replace the rivet with a self tapping screw. Use the old plate as a template to mark the mounting points on the new part. The large 40 torque srew also goes through the plate this holds the end of the jack screw. I wish I had taken pictures before I put back in car but I got in a hurry.

Mine broke off to. Had a local guy weld it up and put a small piece of angle iron underneath for support. The bracket is cast aluminum and will weld up fine. It's over a year and still holding. (10k miles)
