Drivers side door lock is not working when turning the ignition on and off. Does not work when using the lock/unlock button on the door panel. It will lock/unlock the passenger side but not drivers side. Passenger button locks/unlocks both doors. This is on a 2002 ZO6. Thanks for the help.
The drivers door panel switch does not lock/unlock the drivers side but does lock/unlock the passenger side
The passenger button locks/unlocks both doors.
Thanks for the help. Bakersfield, I will have to study all the info in your post. Looks like that is what I needed. DeeGee, the last time I used the fob, it locked/unlocked both sides. dgrant3830, my first thought was possibly a relay. These answers give me a good starting point. Again, many thanks for the help.

Whatever's causing it, it's on the driver's side. You could check the DIC for codes for starters. The modules will throw codes if they are on the way out.
If you pull the door panel on that side and try tapping the door module when it fails to see if it frees off. That would isolate the problem to that module. If you dont want to pull the panel try rapping the door liner at the base just below the handle. That has the same effect of shaking the relay. Its known as the "percuission technique".
The other thing to check is the rubber accordian in the door hinge area on that side. Its also common for wires to chafe or the connector to come loose.

I've heard that the LDCM and the RDCM are the same, but I'm truly not sure. If they are, then you could swap out the suspected bad one with the other and you will have answered that part of the mystery, but please....make sure you check the part numbers BEFORE you swap them out. Don't tear me up if they are different and you fry things because I'm not sure. It might be they are the same on some years and different on others...

They are the same and you could swap them if you wanted to, but the relays have been the problem most of the time. And they are cheap to replace. Let us know how it turns out.
Haven't looked into fixing this. For the present, I manually lock the drivers side. Will post results when I solve the problem. Thanks for everyone's help.
