Torque tube thump?

Torque tube thump?

On hard acceleration 1st and 2nd gear I get a loud thump sounds like it is in the TT? Bushings and bearings are new. Sounds just like the C3's did when the pinion mount would go bad. Thanks

I had a thump in my drivetrain and rebuild the torque tube and still had the knock. I pulled the engine and turns out, I have 2 cracked pistons. You might do a compression check.

Damn I'll bet you'd rather have had a torque tube problem!! Nice to know I'm not the only guy with bad luck!

Tell me about it. When it rains it pours. What I thought was going to be a $300 repair has turned into a $5k investment.

Engine is fine. Could the propeller shaft be bent?
