not sure where to post this.....looking to purchase a set of brackets for the fronts to go from the factory 8" woofer location down to a 6 1/2. The 3 1/2 speaker is getting disconnected so it will not be in use....any help would be awesome...thanks guys.
pipedreams sells some i think, or make your own. use 1/2" if you go 3/4" you will have to do some trimming of the edges because it will begin to hit the door panel. dont forget to paint the baffles after you get everything cut.
just place the old bose assembly onto the mdf and trace it, dont forget to mark the mounting holes. easier to do it this way. then cut it out. then sand it down a little cut out your speaker holes and slap some paint on it. let it dry and your ready to go.
i cut a template for mine first. i found it easier to etch a piece of poster board with a pencil.
here you can see how i've used the pencil and some pressure to make an outline of the mounting surface
