Default seat memory

My seat memory is not working correctly. when I get in the car and insert the key in the ingnition the seat will start to go to the memorized position. but half way thru the transition it stops moving. I have to press the memory button about five times to get it to its programed location. everytime I press the memory button the seat will move about 2 inches and stop. if I use the lower side conrol on the seat it moves normal. please help.

I've got the same freakin' problem. It worked like a champ for over a year until mid last summer.
Last year I replaced the memory seat module. NO FIX!
Now I'm wondering if there isn't a problem with the motors in the seat.........

Same problem here. Replaced the computer controlling the seat memory/function - no help. Now the seat just stays in one position when I use the fob to unlock the car. At least it's consistant now. Not good for a $50,000 car.

I was thinking the brushes in the motor may be the cause. they might be worn out causing arking. Maybe????????

You guys ready for this?

While standing outside the car (door open) with the seat positioned all the way to the rear, put the seat back up. Look down behind the seat at the two seat tracks. Move the seat forward and see if the shoe lace string used to synch the bottom seat leather is getting snagged on one or both the rails.

Can you guess why I know?

Bill
