Hey guys. I have a 2001 C5 Corvette with an LS1 A4 and a couple of mods. Check my profile for mods.
Recently I have been having issues with my transmission.
It has been slipping when I try to shift manually so I think it needs a tune. However also I have been having problems that have started coming on when I visit the 1/4 mile Track in San Antonio.
I brake and put it in 3rd and try to do a standstill and it bogs at 1k RPM and feels like it doesn't want to convert. I can't even bring up my rev to 1600 to launch.
It comes and goes. Sometimes it works with no problems and other times it feels like that where it Bogs at 1k RPM and won't do anything.
Anyone else that has had this issue? Is this a transmission tuning issue or something else minor? My friend thinks it may be my stall converter but I don't think so. What do you all think?
If you want to race your car you should trade in your tranny to RPM Transmissions and get a level 4 or 5 trans that has all the goodies. Also you should buy a higher stall convertor , somewhere around a 3200 or more. Call RPM they'll take care of you. http://www.rpmtransmissions.com/
Also a line lock would be helpful for your burnout
There have been cases where the traction control was turned off, the DIC indicated it was off but it remained on and you can't spin the tires.
I have one of those cars. It does it about every 10 runs or so. You need to try spinning your tires again with the traction control off and if it won't stop, push the traction control buttton twice until it says its off again, then try and spin the tires again. You need to make sure its the trans and not the TC.

Im going to try competition mode see if I can burn them in there.
It feels weird. My friend thinks its in 2nd. I don't really know.
Its like it bogs stuck at 1k RPM and makes a weird noise like it doesn't want to convert. Can't even preset my revs to launch.
