Default Head/Cam results

I got my 2000 FRC back from Vengeance Racing recently. First let me say the experience dealing with Ron and the guys at Vengeance was terrific! They were very exact and professional. The car was delivered as promised, and the quality of their work was outstanding. Anyone looking for a good shop in Ga should definitely give them a call I had them install a set of TFS heads milled to 59cc, a VRX 5 cam 236/238 .601/.605 113 LSA, FAST 92 ported intake, FAST 36 injectors, Patriot dual gold springs, Yella Terra ultralight rockers, ARP head bolts, ASP UD pulley, ported LS2 TB, ported/shimmed LS2 oil pump, 180* thermostat, LS2 timing chain, Kooks 1 3/4 headers with O/R X and DMH electric cutouts, 04 GM slave and master cylinder, Textralia OZ700 clutch kit, Comp R lifters, TF 7.5 hardened pushrods, and Breathless CAI. The car made 466/422.

I basically use this car as my DD. It has no real driveability issues. The motor runs smooth, and really starts pulling above 3,000rpms. The cutouts are fantastic. I keep them closed and its relatively quiet through the stock catback, crack them a little for an aftermarket catback sound, and open them up for Don't know what my next step with this car is. Any suggestions are welcomed. I'm leaning towards a set of 4.10s

Kinda hard to say it didn't make more...Looks like it got shut down before it peaked.

All those mods and you didn't even run it to 6500?

Some nice numbers!!

If you are running the stock exhaust you could lose some weight and gain some HP/TQ by going with a Z06 Ti exhaust.

If you switch to 4.10s you will be shifting a lot more. Might not be a lot of fun, especially with a DD. I have read that going with 3.90s with the MN6 is about equal to the gearing on a Z06.

Yep. Looks like she was still putting out power when she shut down. Would be interesting to see if she keeps going up til 7k.

Mine kept increasing til 6900 which is where I now have limiter set.

Good power tho.

Good numbers.... underrated, too. I had my limiter raised to 7100 Rpms, and it just keeps going.

Here's a picture of where they're mounted:

Here's a video of them closed-opened-closed:

I had Vengeance order them for me.

Yea, I couldn't be there when they dynoed the car, so I'm not sure why they shut it down when they did. I need to call Ron and find out.

When I decided on the heads/cam/intake he told me they would mill the heads to 59cc. I'm not sure why he told you 62cc w/o the FAST.

I really couldn't say since it was dynoed and tuned with them open. I didn't really consider a power gain with them. I just wanted the ability to make it quiet or loud at the push of a button for a lot less than most catbacks, which are of course constant.

I've only turned it 6500 a couple of times, but it feels like it keeps pulling harder

Did they have to flycut the pistons? What head gaskets did you go with?
