PIAA 1100x Switch
My recently installed PIAA 1100x lights work very well. I do have one minor problem. Since fog lights were not an option on my '99 FRC, there was no switch to turn them on. I purchased a Corvette switch and everything works as Chevrolet had planned except that the fog light switch indicator light does not illuminate when the lights are on. The original harness was used and I would like to know if there is another part necessary to actuate the orange light on the switch in the dashboard when the PIAA lights are on. The dealer loaned me another switch to test, it too would not light when the PIAAs were on. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone might offer.

It's been a while since I installed mine but here's what I remember...If you lift up the engine fuse box there is a purple wire torwards the front middle of the box. That wire will go on when you turn on the fog light switch. If you split into that wire and connect it to the PIAA relay then you should be set. :cheers:

Thanks Rick, But I never had lights and so I probably have a different wiring harness. There is no purple wire. What I need to know is what the dash switch in a factory fog light installed vette looks like in the back of the switch. How many wires go into the switch and what colors? I will have to take a look at such a switch when I get an opportunity. Thanks for your input.
