That kit didn't come with instructions? On my kit, you unplug the original harness and plug the harness into the ballast and the output goes to the new hid bulb.
instructions really werent that great... so i put the stock harness in the ballast... what about the harness that has like a black/red stripe? thanks for the help...
what brand kit are you installing?
There should only be a positive and ground input and a high voltage +and - out and that should be it unless you have a low beam and high beam kit.
Diconnect the stock harness from the light bulb.
then reconnect that harness to the matching end from the kit.
The other end of the kit goes to the ballast.
The black and red wires from the ballast go to the new bulb.
They can only fit one way...
Often some of the kits have the polarity on the wiring going to the ballast backwards.
There are two choices...
a) dis- assemble the plug and reverse the wires
b) invert the plug and connect it the oppostive way... the locking lug will be on the wrong side, but the friction fit is sufficient to keep the plug in place.
