Default Underdrive pully

Want to know if anyone had problems with there underdrive pully. Was also contimplating adding an underdrive pully, but worry if it will harm the water pump, and A/C as it will change the speeds at which they are rotating. Thanks guys for all the help. Want to build this Vette right the first time and not regret anything later.

I installed a Powerbond 25% underdrive pulley with stock ratio for the A/C belt. You will not see any difference in operation, and probably will only be able to recognize the performance advantage when it is on the dyno. It makes sense to install one if you already have your balancer off (i.e. cam swap), but not as a stand-alone upgrade.

I installed an SLP underdrive pulley/balancer about a year and a half ago and have had no problems at all. Stock balancer got the “wobbles” so I had to replace anyway. Decided SLP because it does not underdrive the A/C compressor. Don’t notice any change as far as coolant temps. On a hot day in traffic it just runs against the fans anyway….
