electrical problem,please help!!
im having some issues with my 02. my tailights wont come on only when i hit the brakes,my dash lights are out and my headlights do come on but they dont flip down.if i put the blinkers or hit the brakes they do come on,what could possibly be the problem?

I just went thru the same issue! Head light switch is the problem. This thread is the cure.

If your handy with a screw driver and pliers its a easy fix. Takes more time getting the switch out than the actual fix. Took me 60mins start to finish with these directions.

Miker's thread is an outstanding write up and should solve it.
First thing you could try before stripping it down is some electronics cleaner squirted into the switch. Some guys had had some success cleaning up the cantacts this way. The cleaner is about $5 from Radio Shack.

thanks for the reply. i barely got around to read this,however we managed to fix the tailights,one of the lights switch in the housing messed up,we cut the the switch off and connected straight cause we didnt have another switch i will go and buy one today,by the way these are led's taillights.now the rear is good,but my headlights still dont flip down,and one of them dont even turn on,these are not stock(tbyrne's headlight,completely diferent housing with projector and hid) and my car does not respond to my key fob as of last night.any ideas?now let me read the walk trough posted earlier.
