water temp

Hi
This is my first summer with my 02 convertible. What are considered normal water temps in stop and go driving? Today I ran 194 cruising down the freeway on a 78 degree day and up to 225 in traffic. Is this normal? thanks. Randy

Yes, unfortunately stock fan setting don't come on until around 228 degrees. I have a Vinci fan switch in mine, they now come on at 207 degrees.

Not unusual, but check up between the radiator and condensor fins for debris, leaves, bags, etc. The cleaner it is the cooler it will run at speed.

water temp

Thanks for the imput. I am used to cars running a constant temperature. I had guessed this behavior was normal judging by the fact that the fan comes on a such a high temperature but I wanted to ask the experts. thanks. Randy
