Default Odd electrical malfuction that has NO codes?

While a friend was following us today on a cruise He mentioned that "You have NO brake lights EXCEPT for the center stop light that does work. He said that before that time they worked fine. Every other light including the 4 ways, the running lamps and the turn signals work just fine, But no brake lights (other than the center stop light). I did check mini fuse #8 in the engine compartment (stop/tail lamp fuse) and it was good (remember the center stop lamp works). I do have LED Halo tails, but I do have running lamps and turn signals/flashers, just no stop lamps. I ran the DIC code diagnostic and have NO Codes. I'm going to go out and by-pass the stop light switch with a jumper, but the fact that the center stop light does work I don't expect to gain anything from that. Any ideas? This one's gonna be a pain, I can feel it.

Are there any harness adaptors/connectors for these tailights? Make sure you have a solid 12volts dc a the lights also.

Hi JoeyG, Y4s< ( don''t believe the LEDs are not an issue with this problem (i could be wrong) as the running lights and 4 ways are fine. But at this time I'm confused.

Check the connectors under the steering wheel.

I woke up today with a stomach virus (that slowed me to a stop!) But I will get the knee bolster down and look at the switch itself, the loom connections and yes, there is a after market "flasher bypass harness" that stops the hyper flash common to LEDs installed in the OEM flasher loom. I will remove that today and see if that is the culprit. Thanks for your suggestions. I'll report back here with my results.

Ding, Ding!, Ding! Without getting into a long explanation that's exactly what it was. An intermittent open circuit at a connector.
