I switched from the Hurst to the MGW with the C6 **** and really like this combo better than anything else I've tried. Plus, mine is dead silent, but then, I had my Hurst quiet as well. I use a Fernco rubber plug cut and fitted to the shaft to isolate it completely. No noise or vibration whatsoever.

Can you give details on where to purchase this rubber plug and exactly where it goes on the shift assembly. Thank you!

I have the Breathless Performance Shifter and don't have the noise or throw issues described in this thread. Nice piece for similar money.

I thought I read somewhere about a 35%? Maybe in a thread here on the forum

How is the shifting effort compared to the Ripper?

No - you can purchase the 15% short shifter upon request vs. their default 30% option. I went with the 15% shifter

I hope you have better luck getting the stock metal wedge out so that you can unscrew your stock ****. Mine was a BITCH! I finally drilled increasingly larger holes in the wedge and then used a dremel to cut through one inner side of the hole so I could collapse the wedge & get it out. P poor design on GMs part. Looked like they had shimmed the back side of the wedge with some kind of vinyl or something just to make my life more interesting. The stock **** screwed right down on the new shaft - if it's not in the correct position for you - you can loosen it and use blue lock tite - I didn't. Haven't driven mine enough w/the new shifter to know whether I like it or not - it does take more muscle.

Default Fernco Isolator??

What is it? where did you get it & what mods did you have to do? Is it an extension of the shifter shaft?
Interested - Thanks
