Default [MGW Shifter] Product review.....

After installing a few of these in customers cars I had to have one for my personal car. I you guys can imagine I have either owned or driven every possible shifter option for these cars. This one is hands down better than anything I have tried thus far. I started off with the ripper years ago and it was fun for about 10 minutes just too stiff for my taste. I then went to a hurst with the soft springs and it was decent but still not perfect. I have been running the C6 Z06 shifter and really like it but its a little bit sloppy but still a very nice option. For anyone on the fence, this one is worth trying out. The quality is second to none. I got the new black race **** and its real comfortable.

Thanks again George for an amazing product

I agree Chris. I have had mine for 2 months, and it is the best shifter I have owned!

By far the best of the 4 shifters I've had in my car. I may speak with George about a slightly shorter shaft to go with the new **** - but maybe not. It sure is "low effort" like it is.

I found them for $199 at www.mgwltd.com

And from what I understand you can only get them through their website; they don't have retailers.

Chris would like that. He shows it in his pong ball throwing ability.

...and yes, the MGW shifter is top notch!!! So much so, that after putting one in a customer car I immediately called up wanting to sell them. No luck on that one, the above statement is correct, no retailers yet aside from them.

how are the throws compared to the hurst? is this shifter geared more towards roadracing or drag racing? i have no complaints about my hurst, just like to try different things.

I completely agree, did mine a month or two ago and have been loving it. Best of all the aftermarket shifters I've used.

Question, when you installed it, did you have to cut the rubber insulator boot to get it to fit around the base of the shifter? I got C6 instructions with mine, so I want to make sure I did it right.

Its much tighter side to side and a bit shorter but its easier to shift.. Its a better shifter all around than the hurst. Definately worth the money to swap
