Need input on some basic mods for 2005 coupe..
Cousin just got a 2005 auto coupe (3.15 gear I think). Wanting to do some basic mods. I am familiar with LS1's, but wanted your input.
Pretty sure he is going to do converter/tranny cooler and CAI to start. He doesn't want to spend silly money on it, and doesn't race it ever. Just wants it to be quicker on the street. Aside from the converter/CAI/tune, what other basic "best bang for the buck mods" are available. I might be able to talk him imto a cam, but he won't do headers or exhaust (too loud). I don't know how much gain any cam will do with complete factory exhaust system in place however.
So, from your perspective what is the best:
CAI........
Converter........

I was thinking of 2800-3200 PI single disc (don't need multidisc) and a K&N or Blackwing....
