Looking for opinions??? My 02 Vette is still at stock performance and was looking to get either or so I was wondering if I could get opinions or feedback from any owners that have used either system or know about both systems?? Any input would be helpful.
Any true Cold Air Intake will give you more power than an open filter in the engine compartment. Many CAI to chose from, Callaway Honker Vararam, Vortex rammer and others. I run a vararam myself. Good bang for the buck.

So the overall consensis is I will get better performance out of the Vararam?? How about installation on the vararam? Scale of 1-5? 5 being most difficult?
I love my vararam on the C6. I weant with the Vortex on the C5 because I got a deal on it. If the deal hadn't been available I would have gone wit the Vararam on the C5

Thanks for the imput...
Arrrrrgh! Depends...doing it on your back or a rack? With or without help? Drinking beer or not?
I have turned a few wrenches in my time and it still took me 6 hours on jackstands. Make sure you get the cajunde instructions (search). Its near impossible to do with just the Vararam instructions.
I have a Vararam on my '01 MN6 Vert
My wife has a Blackwing on her A4 Vert with 410 rear end '04
She asks why her A4 is so much slower than the MN6.....
I have a Blackwing and I really can notice the difference. I also removed the fog light housings, cut most of the plastic out and replaced with ZO6 screen, also cut some air channels in the radiator shroud and covered them with ZO6 screen as well. Looks clean and works great. At least for me. I have a 2000 vert.
Now I just need to enlist some help when i get it so it doesn't take me 3 days to install lol
The first install took my teenager and me about three hours, and we did it FLAT ON THE FLOOR! That was definitely the hard way to go about it.
Second one took about an hour (actually, same Vararam, different car). Put it on ramps, and used Cajundude's instructions. In the A4 car, I was really impressed. Stomp and steer! Lots of seat of the pants improvement. M6, a bit less, but I'm an old guy who drove an automatic for years - the red Shelby in my avatar has the Ford C6. Anyway, the Vararam seems to improve the pull the car exhibits, and with the fast shifts on an automatic, and the extra push of cold air under a little pressure, the difference was terrific.

It is worth the effort though...
Perfectly said. Took me almost exactly as long too.
i had the blackwing on my car when i purchased it. and then i got the vararam and i could feel a diff. between the two. vararam has a great product on their hands and the following is getting bigger. your gonna love it!
