Default VetteMods.com V1 Radar Bracket

Howdy!

I picked up one of the vettemods.com visor mounts (used) for a V1 this week. It was easy enough to mount to the visor clip, but how the heck do you mount the V1 to the bracket? Do you have to use the suction or clip mount??

I'm usually pretty intuitive with this sort of thing, but I have *zero* idea! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Should be a clip in the Valentine box that slides on the visor mount and clips on the V1.

Is that the normal V1 visor clip? If I remember correctly, in my V1 I had two mounts: 1) Suction Cip, 2) Visor Clip. This isn't some 3rd clip is it?

Thanks a ton for the reply!

I have the Escort ... but it should work the same ....

On your Valentine there is a "release" to unlock the V1 from either the suction cup mount or the visor clip mount. Remove which ever mount is currently in the V1 and put both mountings away.

Now climb in the car and the V1 should slide onto and lock on your Vettemods mount using the same method as it mounted to the other mounts .... right ?????

Just went and looked at mine....it has a mount that slides on the V1 and has a slot in the back that slides on the visor mount.

Ok, here's a few pics of my mount, pardon the dust. Hope this helps.

Thanks!! I was able to ID the part as the OEM Visor Clip - I thought it might be that, but I couldn't find it to confirm. Once I saw it was that part for sure, I escalated my search (actually the Wifey© found it for me )

Yeah, so the OEM visor assembly with the metal clip removed and there it is! I noticed there was a small plastic ridge that's sort of a stop for the OEM metal clip, but it wouldn't allow the VetteMods bracket to slide on to the point where it locks, so I trimed that off and now it clicks right on.

Seems pretty cool - I shortened up my hardwire (just doubled it up and pushed it down in the A-Pillar again, and used a small zip-tie right at the bracket to keep the wire nice and neat. Looks pretty good! I did notice it's a little off (like not "square", sort of down and over) but I suspect I could just bend it a touch and it would be perfecto.

Thanks everybody!

that looks really solid but $35 seems a little pricey considering you could just suction mount it in the same place
