Default ABS Problem

I was heading home today and my engine warning light came on and said reduse power which the engine all but shut off. The service soon the ABS warning came on. I'm a new Vette owner. It was over 103 today. Could it be a vapor lock? I pulled over shut the engine off let it set for a few minute tried to restarted it and the the engine was really sluggish. I set it set a few more minutes hit the reset button and it fired right up. But my engine light stayed on. I checked the engine all seems fine. The air filter was alittle dirty. I'm going to get a new one tomorrow. Any Thoughts? Is thier a way to turn off the engine light?

Do a search on pulling the codes from the DIC the car will tell you what is wrong. What is the condition of the battery yes the battery?

Here's the instructions for displaying the DTC data. It is easiest to display them once the display says MANUAL DIAGS so you can scroll through them one-by-one ....

https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1

Post ALL the codes that are listed.

Someone can then look them up and help you in diagnosing/fixing the problem.

No ... your car will not get vapor lock driving down the street .... the DTC will show what the problem is.

Hear is the same code in this forum. The 1278 code is also a function of the throttle body so it can control the throttle body to slow engine speed for traction, and the u code are for lack of communication. This thread has the info you need. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1654778

The RFA codes that are Uxxxx codes should all be DELETED. The C2110 indicates the Right Rear tire pressure monitor sensor (TPMS) is not transmitting data. This may be an "old" problem that has been fixed or you are getting DIC warning messages telling you to SERVICE TPMS ... go ahead and DELETE the code. It will return if the TPMS is still bad.

The LDCM B2252 indicates a problem may have occured when you tried to UNLOCK the driver's door using the key. These are usually caused by a low battery condition at some point in time. DELETE the code ... again it will come back if the problem occurs again. Also DELETE the Uxxxx code(s)

The EBCM C1278 (it would be followed by a C or an H ... not an A) is set because the PCM has the P1518 set. The PCM code means that the PCM is unable to correctly perform throttle management. The C1278 is set in the EBCM as a diagnostic "aid" .... a technician can see that the EBCM is not to "blame" for the PCM problem ... the EBCM is basically saying "he failed first". It also causes the EBCM to issue a warning message to the DIC that Traction Control is not available. DELETE it AFTER you fix the P1518.

The P1518 .... FRC_TOM in the linked post above has quoted the Service Manual for the DTC. Post if you have questions ..... the P1518 is what gave you the REDUCED ENGINE POWER messages. Any chance you could have water in the area around the PCM/TAC (kinda silly question if it was 103 ... but ....) ?? I'd recommend that you DELETE the code (that will shut off the CEL) and hope that the problem was a "glitch" never to be seen again.
