First ... which EBCM do you have .... the one in the rear (by the differential .... early 1998) or the one in the engine compartment (later 1998) ???

Also, do you have option JL4 (Active Handling) ???

Second, have you displayed the DTC data ... it may not be the EBCM ... a wheel speed sensor problem turns on the same light ... display the data and post here ......

Go here if you don't know how to get the data ...

...and, of course, you'll have the seller reduce the car's price by that amount plus an hour labor.

The EBCM is the same for all 1998 ... part number 9367071 is currently GM list price $576.69

There are 3 possible BPMV

Mounted in the engine bay is part number 12530740 and lists at $2,095.75

Mounted in the rear is either part number 10417038 ($2,054.66) or part number 12527809 ($2,158.43)

So worst caase is $2,735.12 plus labor (and if the BPMV needs replacing you will most likely need to have the dealer or other service location with a Tech2 programmer do the work ... a Tech2 is required to bleed the brake fluid through the new BPMV.) ... I'd figure 5 hours labor would be what a dealer would estimate.

I didn't notice where you are located ... these are US prices ..... Canada and other countries have their own pricing ... part numbers will be the same.

OK ... I see you're in Canada .... you could order from this guy so long as you are willing to pay by credit card .... also plug those part numbers in and you will see that he sells them cheaper than GM list ... but you have to add shipping.

He does ship to Canada
