Cat Recycling
Anyone know where you could sell you stock catalytic converters for some quick cash? I understand they are pretty valuable as salvage items because of the precious metal cores.

I went with this guy...was super nice....fast sending me out my money....and I got top dollar: $240 for all 4 cats! He even went and deposted it into my paypal acct to make it even faster and on top of it....added in the paypal fee!
I sent him the main cats in a FLAT rate $8.75 box. They just barely fit and take a little to get them into the box. The pre-jobs I had to box up. The rates were about the same...cost me under $20 to send them all out.
Tell him you heard about him off the corvetteforum through a guy that had a successful deal with him. He will surely be getting more business.

Simple: for people like myself who have modified their cars and removed their cat converters to go high flow converters. Just about all the header's guys do this. What you are left with is an entire stock system that basically just hangs around your garage unless your lucky for someone willing to pay cash for it.....not a very likely scenario as I have tried and I have seen others as well. The solution....cut the pipes up into sections removing the cats and selling them off for the precious metals in them. The remainder of pipe you might get someone interested to buy as it will be a high flow pipe for offroad use only (cause there is no cats on it). But even this case is tough....I have seen many just throw the rest away or hang it on the wall for a conversation piece. lol
