i got the aca hid kit and i had it for a while now, but now the drivers side wont turn on (hid bulb, high beam comes on)so i thought it was the bulb, switched the bulb and nothing, so i switched the ballasts and nothing. what else should i check? any replies will be greatly appreciated since i have my car withouth headlights right now.

Check the inline fuses in the wiring harness.
Use a 12V light checker to see if you have power to the end of the harness when you have lights on.
Make sure your wiring is correct some of the wires were backsward on some of the kit's (i.e. black / red wires) were backwards.
Nost exactly sure how the ACA kit wires up, but in some rare cases, one side of the headlight wires will stop working. if each ACA hooks into the big grey OEM headlight terminal, check the outputs form the terminal for the lows and highs on the side in question.
If you're not getting any power to that side, you can tap into the power from the working side, or install a relay and split power to each side from that.
Yes, it could be the Pos. and Neg. wires are reversed, these would be the wires that go to the ballest.
Good luck

I had the ACA lights installed on two different Vettes. I'm not sure what trouble shooting the OP has tried.
Each light has it's own wiring harness and has a fuse built into the wiring harness as the harness run directly off the battery.
Some of the kits use different ballast and thus the (positive, negative) can be reversed going into the ballast.
i checked the fuses, and they're fine.i know the wires are not reversed, cause they were working for almost a yr and out of nowhere it went out.im thinking it might be the wiring but how can i check that? everything looks plugged in all the way. thanks for all the replies!

Get a 12v tester and ground the one end. Check to see if you have power coming from the ACA wiring harness ? If yes.
Then turn on light switch on car and test for power at the grey connector on the inside fender well. If you have power there too, maybe your ballast are blown out or your bulbs are blown.
i got the kit from tbyrne back when they use to carry em.well i'll try that but i know for a fact that the ballast and bulb work, since i tried them on the working side,so its gotta be the harness,i hope

im gonna check the wiring but if all fails , taping into the working side might help.by the way i copied ur idea on the halo's,that was just awesome.thanks radioflyer for the write up.

Well that's makes it a little easier.
Check the power from the ACA harness & Light harness on the side that does not work.
well instead of troubleshooting for the harness, i instead switched harness from side to side and that didnt work, still it wont come on, so it seems that there is no power from the factory grey switch that connects to the hid harness. So any suggestions ajg1915? or anybody else?i really appreciate all the replies.

Did you also swap the wire from the ballast to the headlight cluster ? And the OEM fuses as well ?
Could also be an issue with your stalk light switch ?
it was so dumb ,it was the fuse, the strange thing is that i already had checked them and when i rechecked them it didnt even have a fuse in it, i had a friend helping me so maybe he took it out.Anyways i took advange of the situation and swaped the bulbs to 6000k. i really appreciate all your help , thank you guys for all the help and replies
