Default Dyno numbers too low? Help!

Here are my mods.

2001 Z06 w/ 21k

Cams 228/232
K&N Intake
Ported TB
Ported Intake
Dyno Tune

Dynoed 371rwhp 337rwtq on a DynoJet

These numbers are low. I was expecting alot more because I've seen 02-04 Zs dyno high 370s with only intake and tune. My tuner said that with headers I'll be in the 420ish range.

I have a installed a few cams that size and I think you tuner is absolutely correct. You really should consider putting a set of headers on your car. I think the power and the torque would jump considerable. Usually if I install a cam in a vette without headers I encourage the cheatr cam.

You need headers to let that bad boy breathe.

Headers, may need more then headers to get above 400. Need PP 243 heads, and a bigger cam to get much above 400, plus LTs, high flow cats or no cats, X-pipe free flowing exhaust or no mufflers and a true CAI.

Undrive pulley will help too.

02s to 04s will dyno slightly higher even with the same mods. Mostly do the difference in the blocks. 02s and 04s have better oiling galleys and better cooling chambers then 01 and earlier blocks

That said, dont get hung up on dyno numbers. Drive your vette and enjoy.

Good Luck on your project
