I purchased a used set of C6 Z06 wheels for my C5. I had new tires mounted on the rims, but my left rear tire leaks where the the TPMS come through the rim. I had new seal kits installed on all the wheels, but this one leaks pretty bad.
Question is...If I install a larger o ring (larger than the one in the kit) do you think it would solve the problem? Has anyone else run into this issue and what did they do to correct it?
Yes, the nut it tight. I just wondering if a thicker o ring would stop the leaking. It leaks down pretty quick. I had them mounted yesterday and the tire shop must has put some kind of sealer on it to prevent it from leaking, but it failed by the time I go home last night. Tire is now flat..

When you use the C6 wheels OEM or even replicas ,also use the OEM C6 TPMS grommets as the holes are a little bigger on those wheels. They will seal the TPMS better
Thanks. I'll try that. I pulled the tire off and am taking it to the tire shop tomorrow. I will suggest they do that. Strange thing is...all the other tires are fine, but I will definitely try that!
Common problem. Easily sealed with a larger o-ring. Go to Home Depot and buy a #9 o-ring (or maybe #8, don't recall which).
Believe it's # 9 from home depot. That's what I used when I mounted new tires on my '00 coupe last summer. The #9s are bigger / thicker than the OEM O-Rings.
