Headlights not rising on first try - suggestions??
The past few times I've got in my car, while it was cold and turned the headlights on they didn't come up??? But if I turned them off and then turned them back on the came up just fine.
Anyone have any suggestions what to look for, I sure don't want to get caught out in the dark.

Ooh ooh ooh, I had this problem too. I can't remember what the solution was though... Doh. Seems like maybe a wire was pinching or something which was causing a bad signal to be sent to the computer thus causing the car to think they were up? In my case, the headlights would actually turn on, even though they were not raised. They always worked on the second try though.
Anyways, the dealership got in there and replaced some wires (maybe?) and it started working.

This is wierd...That happened to me last night on my way home. The lights were on, but did not come up. I tried turning the switch, and tried turning off twilight sentinel. So, i pulled over, and turned the car off, pulled the key, then tried again, and they worked fine. The screwed up thing is i was so tired, i didnt even notice until i got almost home.

I too have had this problem. It just went away on it's own accord. I would have to flick the switch 2 or 3 times to get the lamps to come out. The thing I noticed was that it went away once the weather turned cooler in fall (it was pretty humnid here for a while). Probably just total coincidence though :).

No not coincidence at all. Mine just started doing this also. OH no the y2k bug is affecting my car, just a few years late. The funny thing about mine was the cooler weather also.
