cam only ques?
How many of you did a cam only package.My ques is,im going to have dte put a cam package only in my 01 6-speed.Now i have the 241 heads.With me leaving these heads on,is it going to be hard on the engine with a nice big cam.Ill put heads on another time.Only can do alittle at a time.Will i notice a big differents from a nice big cam.I know its better if the engine can breath with heads,but the main ques is,am i going to be ok with a cam only.I have arh,breathless performance ram air,corsa indys,ported throttle body.Thats my mods now.....Just drive it on nice days......Dan

I will let you know this time next week... hopefully. IF the cam comes in on Wednesday like it is supposed to, I will be having my Lt's, Ud pulley, LS6 intake and Cam installed next Thursday. I have my goals and expectations, and we'll see if this meets them. So, update next week.

I did cam only on 97 806 heads. Cam was 228/232.
Three months later I did 243 Heads (ls6), longtubes and LS6 intake manfold.
I noticed more gain from the cam only that from the rest combined.
SOTP meter says 50 HP with cam only, 30 more with heads and longtubes.
