how do you put trans fluid in 1998 corvette coupe automatic trans is slipping had slight leak i guess it need new gasket and trans fluid how do you put fluid in it which side is drain plug on help getting codes p0756 and
The place where you put the fluid into the trans is were you drain it from. The drain plug is also the fill hole.
Its located on the left side (drivers side)
Also its a good idea to change the filter at this time.
If you have to ask, you may want to take it to a mechanic. I am not being an A hole but its not for the faint of heart to do this. First off all four wheels have to be up on stands and level. The engine has to be running. The trans temp has to be within certain temps and you have to run it thru the gears. Now check it by removing the plug on the side and fill it until it runs out. Dam I wish it just had a dip stick!

I agree... Been there, done that. It gets easier after a few times, but very messy and hot. It may be too late to put the new gasket on to save the transmission.
