If stock wires read over 700 ohms, they need replacing.

Per 2000 Service manual, 6-377

250-750 ohms. Most read 300-350. If your wires read bad,,,,here is some money saving advice. Buy QUALITY vise HYPE.

If i had to purchase wires for my 02 ZO6, it would be the GM Performance Red Wires. You can get them from Gene Culley www.gmpartshouse.com for around 50-60 bucks. They are some of the best wires going and will last a LONG time!

Wires will NOT add power. It will just let your engine make the most at what it got.

Thats why our cars run very well for so long between tune ups! The ignition system is basically bullet proof. It works very well under a very wide operating criteria. BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,once it pases that WIDE acceptable operating range,,,,it goes to hell in a hand basket QUICKLY!
