If you're just wanting easier shifting without changing out the shifter since you already have aftermarket, there are a couple things I've read recently in my searches that may help you out.
Both BG Synchromesh and Royal Purple Synchromesh have had several people say they helped considerably with easier shifting. I saw one or two people state that they preferred the BG over the RP, having tried both.
Also, try searching for "anti venom" in the c5 section. There is a way to reduce the pressure required to shift by shimming detent plug.
I've also read something about a shift box linkage adjustment, not sure what the story on that is though.
Doin' great, Liz - all four of them now. I rescued a 3 yr. old female a few months ago. She is 2nd from the left, name's Bella.
awwwwww. I missed the pic! Thanks! They are precious!
as for the shifter...I went with the 08 c6 z06 one. I decided that would be best since I'm teaching the kiddo on this car. We raced the car Sunday (shhhh....don't tell the kiddo! ) and the shifter worked fine!
Thanks for all the input.
My buddy Mark C5 got the MGW shifter, and he'll be in town this weekend. I'll definitely try it out while he's here.
