Just purchased a 2003 Convertible with just 2100 miles on her. Changed Oil and fluids( brake and antifreeze) and since the car was sitting virtually unused for several years I decided to put two bottles of Chevron Techron (fuel system cleaner) in the gas tank. Put the stuff in when the tank was half full --- drove three miles to gas station to do a fillup --- and by the time I drove home (another three miles) the check engine light came on sometime during the round trip to do a fillup (6 miles max). I'm guessing it's the stuff I put in the gas tank that triggered the check engine light to come on.
Did I do damage to the O2 sensor or will the light go out after I burn thru a tank or two of gas ---- or does something have to be reset in the computer. Sorry, I'm used to the old technology without all the electronics and need some guidence here.
Hold your option button down and press fuel 4 times, that should tell you what code is being set,let it scholl though then you can do it manually with the option button, write them down and come back and let everyone know what code it is,you can also clear them with the reset and see if it comes back again, when finished press eng/metric button to go back to normal
It's not the techron. Did you get the gas cap on tight??
Do a search here on how to display the check engine codes which is fairly easy, yet very wordy to type here. Once you pull the codes there are several posts on here as to what the code means.

The code I'm getting is P1415 H C
"Air System Bank 1"
Looks like something to do with the air pump ----
which side is Bank 1
Take pictures of both side by side and use that for your avatar.
I would clear your codes, double check the gas cap and drive the car. It may take several miles or more for the check engine lite to shutoff if it is/was your gas cap.
OK, I cleared out all codes and started up the car and moved it out of the garage. Check engine light came back on. Took a look at the codes and I get P0803 H C. ---- no code P415 HC this time. Looks like the computer doesn't like something with the CAGS. I did install a skip shift eliminator about 800 miles ago and everything worked fine uintil now. Since this is a simple install, you really can's screw it up so I assume something in the skip shift eliminator circuit I purchased must have gone bad. Does that make sense?

I think I need a new CAGS defeat unit ---- yes???
I'd crawl under and look at it first .... If you just let the defeat and wiring "dangle" instead of securing it (some defeats come with a zip-tie to secure it) the wiring may have rubbed and shorted. The CAGS itself is just a resistor .... it would be almost impossible for it to fail.

I had mine do the same thing the other day. Car was sitting in the garage, I added a bottle of Textron and buttoned everything up. Went to a short drive and my check engine light came on. First thing that came to my mind was...what did I do last and I bet I did not tighten the gas cap. (because my 300M Special use to do the same damn thing) I pulled over, shut her off, jumped out and re-tightened the gas cap. Fired her back up, no check engining light. The fact that I put in the Textron had nothing to do with the light coming on.
Note: you probably should top off you gas tank. Two bottles of Textron to a half tank of gas is a little strong. IMO
The Gas cap is tight --- I tripple checked it. When I clear the codes and just go a short distance, the check engine light comes on. This time I got the codes P0803 H C and P0410 C (no 1415 this time). I'm sure the CAGS defeat was securely tied up ---- but I will check it tomorrow. The 0410 code has to do with the air pump again --- just a different code this time. Starting to sound like a short or loose wire. I'll check the gas cap again and inspect it to see of there is a seal or gasket broken somewhere. UGH --- very frustrating --- but the car seems to be running fine.

Forget the gas cap ... none of your codes are related to it.
Sounds like the AIR pump may have a bad ground and is running intermittenntly or slowly when commanded on. The AIR pump is grounded at G102. That ground is on the top of the right frame rail, almost directly below the headlamp.
Yeah, check the CAGS ... almost has to be a wiring problem. I don't think I've ever heard of one failing after it has been installed for a while. I've heard of maybe a couple in about 8 years that were dead on install ... but never after a few hundred or thousand miles .... on the other hand ... there's always a first time.
My 01 had the 1416 code once I dont know if the 03 has the same set up as the 01 but I read a post about pulling the rubber hose off the air line flushed it with WD40 and fired her back up. I did just that and i cleared my codes and it has not returned to date Now I must drive around the block just to check that murfy didn't get me. By the way my car was a garague queen also by the previous owner and now that its getting driven things may be waking up. AGE kills cars also...
