I went for a drive on Glendora Mountain Road to test them out. The Bilsteins are a great improvement over my worn out (52K miles) stock Z51 shocks. It was starting to rain so I couldn't push to hard, but the ride is firm while being smoother than before.

Dogdoc and others:

The Bilstein Sports on my FRC is the best bang for the buck in terms of handling that I have ever done. So much better than stock in terms of handling. Also, it seems to smooth out sharp bumps!

I installed the shocks myself. Total time about 4 hours (if I could do it again it would take half that time). The way I installed the fronts was to remove the 4 upper control arm bolts so as not to fight the compression part of the install. Remember to keep track of how many and where the washers/bushings are under these bolts as they affect your suspension geometry.

The rears are easy.
