Thanks to the excellent info on the forum I pulled up some codes on my DIC. I have been getting the "service TC, ABS" warning. It was clearing out once in a while but now seems to be on all the time. I guess the next question is could some of you that are experienced give me some advice as to what to check.
Codes: 28TCS=C1214H
AO-LDCM= B2282H & U1064H
A1-RDCM= B2205H,B2283H & U1064H
Looks like the c1214 has to do w/ the ECBS possibly?
The others look like faults to door control modules?
I don't have any problems w/ the windows so was wondering if perhaps checking the grounds would be a good place to start?? Battery seems to be fine although it is 5 yrs. old. Always have it on a battery tender during the winter. I suppose the next step after that is to service the ECBS module? I read the excellent write up on how to remove that but hope that is unnecessary. Also, since these are history codes, if I clear them I assume they will show up again if the problem still exists?? Thanks in advance!!
All of those codes have to do with voltage level. Make sure all of your voltage and ground pins in connectors and ground points on the frame/engine are clean and making good contact. Also make sure the battery and charging system are in proper condition. If that doesn't clean up the problem then you may end up having to repair/replace the EBCM.
Thanks Bill. Checked grounds last night and they seemed to be ok. Didn't have time to pull the plugs but didn't notice anything amiss. Voltage levels seem normal.
