got the lock
after chevy did the recall it acted up again,leaving "service column lock" on the DIC. Can I just replace the "K" harness with an after market CLB and start it up,or do I need a tow and another $750.00 GM fix? thanks

i think i have read a thread on here that indicated that the clb will unlock the column but i have not verified it. most have said that they had to tow to the stealership. you are going to need the clb anyway so you might as well get it and try. if you are up to reading i am sure you will find some answers (including pulling fuses and waiting). check out the clb sticky at the beginning of this forum and good luck!
