Does anyone have the latest instructions to install the brace? I would like to give them a read. Looked on DTE's web site and didn't find them, although I might have missed them too.

Default Hell yeah i got it bolted up!!!!!!!!!1

I got all the struts in!!! It was a pain in the *** but a little patience and some swearing and its all together.

To they guys at DTE POWETRAIN.....one last question for you....

With the Brace completely installed and the strut bars torqued correctly (hopefully), will i be able to put the car in gear on the jackstands and see if i hear any unusual noise etc from the rear?

Id like to try this before i throw the exhaust and sway bar etc back in this way if it needs adjustment i wont have to go crazy getting back under the car. ( rear subframe is bolted back into place)

Thanks for all the help..........Dennis

Yes, you should be able to do that, just make sure you have the car secure on the jeckstands.

Congrat's on a job well done.

Phil

I was lucky enough to have a lift to install mine. Great product but I looked like a bear attacked me from the elbows down after I was done.

I think my installation instructions were wrong. We needed to switch the longer and shorter rods opposite from what the directions stated. I took some measurments and noticed that the side they wanted the shorter rod to go on was the side with the longest bolt spread and vice versa on the other side. I think it is simply a typo in the instructions. We reversed the sides of rod installation and they went in like they were supposed to.

Default Paranoid!

DTE Powertrain step in one more time please!........

Ok, the car is all buttoned up and sitting on its own wheels once again. Before the car was on the ground i started it up as i said i would and let it idle in first gear. No noise was evident from the rear sitting in the car so i crawled under the car (car still idleing in first gear) to listen closely to the rear/diff. Once again, sounded ok.

I took the car off the jackstands, backed it out of my garage and took it for a short cruise. It seemed to go into gear smoothly, no issues, swung the car side to side to settle the suspension...so far so good.

I then proceeded to roll up the windows so i can really hear whats goin on in the car. (damn runflats/exhaust make enough noise). This is what bothered me a bit....although i always heard the clutch/torque tube making noise while idleing in nuetral, it seemed louder to me for some reason. I dont know if its because im looking for it or what. Also i may have heard a slight gear whine in the car. I really dont know, another noise that seemed familiar before this install but once again, im looking for it.

So just wondering if you can list any and all tell tale signs to listen for that would require me (if necessary) to back off on these rods. I need this brace to save my diff/tranny at the track friday....not destroy it

thanks again...Dennis

Adjust the strut rods as our instructions state and you won't have any issues what-so-ever.
