Default Cam Reccomendations W/ported Heads

Need some input.. 99 frc /6speed 342 gears: Running lg street headers into borla cat backs, halltech stinger intake ,ls6 manifold. I plan on purchasing either the livernois stage 2 heads or the patriot heads. Question is,what is a good cam for this combo? I dont want a cam that has miserable idle quality but yet I want something that will make good power! I would like to see 425-450 rwhp..Any suggestions? Thank you in advance

Have you checked out any of our X1 line of cams or maybe one of the Executive camshafts?

These were designed to have a very mild idle, and huge torque curve.

Let me know how I can help, I would be more than happy to speak with you on any one of our combinations.

^^There are probably a number of cams out there that will work for you. I have seen some really good numbers made with an ECS blower cam, which is pretty mild, on a Z06. Had a great torque curve and made over 425 rwhp. ECS also makes a NA cam. It is a more aggressive than the blower cam. I have seen some good results posted from people who have used it. Not sure about its streetability.

Another possibility is the LG G5X2 cam. I know of one forum member who went with this cam and is over 430 rwhp with stock heads in his Z06 (Cobra4B).

Hope that helps.

Do you happen to know the cam profile of the LG G5X2 cam?

Definitly don't ned a big cam to get those numbers. I made 430rwhp w/ a 22x cam on ported ls1 heads and 4.10s.

^^I was just trying to provide objective (unbiased) information. I went with one of your ECS NA cams. Just have not installed yet because I have so much work to do on my car.

When it is all done around spring next year I'll post up the numbers.
