ls6 intake gaskets
Maybe a stupid question but Ill ask..... throttle body and intake gaskets should be switched out when installing ls6 manifold from another car ,whether they are in real good shape or not..correct? Thanx!

I just did a Heads/ Cam / Fast 90/90mm TB up-grade on my 02 ZO6. When I removed the LS6 intake I examined the intake gasket seals on the OEM 55,000 mile LS6 intake . If were to have reinstalled that manifold BACK ON the engine,,,I would have replaced the gaskets. They were very flat and didn't protrude above the intake flange very much.
On another note, I had to install and remove my FAST 90 intake approx 8 times (don't ask) and the NEW gaskets that I installed on that intake were in really good shape after each removal.
If the old gaskets are in good shape, look supple and protrude enough above the manifold to make a good seal on the head, there reusable.
I have reused other intake seals with good results on other C5 intakes.
