I have a 98 vette mn6 its got most boltons plus a cam. K&n intake, Ls6 manifold, Ms4 cam, tpis lts, hiflo cats, borla xr1, 160 stat, and 4.11 gears". It also got all supporting mods for the cam that was just installed; valve springs, push rods, new plugs & wires and ported ls6 pump. Got my car dyno tuned today only put out 363rwhp on dyno jet. Tuner told me everything on the dyno chart is fine, except its putting out low numbers. I thought with my setup it should be around 400rwhp. I dont know what could be wrong with the car need some input thank you...
363 may be right...4.11 gear eats so much power. You may have just over cammed it. i had a smaller cam and heads and made 411 with 4.10's. Answer this....what is your...
My friend dynoed 420WHP on his LS6 z06, On a totally different dyno. The only thing He had That I didnt is the 243 heads.. Im 15 short on him, most likely due to his heads.
No I don't think they degreed the cam, and the torque didn't come up because of the Msd wires, maybe im loosing compression because its a 98 if thats the case, that means the piston rings are bad?

Not necessarily, but in situations like this best to start with basics and not throw money at the problem. I got low numbers last year and it took me a few months to figure it out. I do think the 98 heads may be part of the problem. Check some 98 dyno threads here and on ls1tech and see what you can find out, lots of information out there.
Start with simple things that don't cost anything and go from there. Is there another dyno around you can have them do a pull and double check. Sometimes if the weather station on the dyno is goofy results will be low, may not even be the car.
Dude No way in hell 98 853's are causing this low power issues.. Theres something else wrong here.... Im running 853's on my 99' and im putting down 405hp 389tq.
A Friend of mine with the 243 LS6 heads put down 420 392 our torque stayed the same, he was up about 15 HP on my "old heads"
We didnt dyno at the same place, these were done at two different tuners here in atlanta..

Im sorry that you cant believe what a real cam could do for your car.. Most people on this site that do cams do ***** cams that require heads AND cam to obtain the power levels what a REAL cam only swap by EG, TSP MS4, MTI X1 could make, Most corvette owners are whiney about driveability but if you want the power you need a cam with real *****.
Youtube "MS4 cam dyno" and enjoy all the videos of 400+ Cam/light bolt on cars. Research is your friend!
