Default DHM Cutouts

I am going to install some cutouts on my automatic 03 C5. I am leaning toward DHM. Here is my question...do you think there will be any issues installing them around the tranny? If anyone has pics of your install that would be great! Also does anyone know where to get a good new/used set of the DHMs?

I just ordered a set of DMH Lowprofiles. I am going to have them installed as soon as they get in. I will document and photo shoot the process if you want to wait. I am having a shop (Xtreme Auto Acces.) install them. Hope that helps and hope I can help.

I had them done at a custom exhaust shop. He didn't even have to drop the X-pipe. He welded the top from inside. I think it was $125 but that was not for the wiring. I did that myself.

How loud is it with the cut-outs? Are they too loud for the street? Also what size would I need for the Z06 Ti?

It's loud. If you drive by a cop with them open, he'll probably notice. But that's why they're motorized. You can just close them when you want to be a gentleman, and open them when you want to be loud.
For the Z you'd need the 2 1/2" ones.

I just put a set on my car. The 3" with a Kooks 3" system. It's by far the best 'fun' mod I've done to my car. I did the install my self. I used a couple of wrenches, a dremel, and a mig welder.

Hi There,
Nice install job & good pictures. Is the toggle switch a 2 position switch with only full open & full closed settings. Any positions in between those two settings?

You can open or close them as much as you want. I don't consider these a substitute for a nice cat-back. They do DRONE!!!!!

I replaced a louder GHL system with a Ti and Cutouts. Best of both worlds. Stealth when I want to be and really annoying when I choose to be.,

My son and I installed them on my car. He seemd to think they were My Ti's, Kooks 1 7/8" headers with 3" mid pipe sounds quiet now
