Looking at the pictures on photobucket it shows them mounted on the cat-back...do most of you guys mount them there or on the x-pipe before the cat-back?

I am planning X pipe. In Kalifornia I worry about an a$$ bag leo seeing them and givin a fix-it for them That would be a sucky fix-it ticket....
If you have a Ti cat Back, welding becomes a different beast on the Ti section.
Harleyvette,
I had mine installed there for two reasons: 1: due to clearance at the tranny and 2: for the stealthy-ness. You have to get on hand and knees to see them. My switch is mounted in the armrest in the outlet location.
I heard QTP makes a pretty good product but I went with DMH for the warranty and the low profile. I do not think QTP makes a low profile version.
DMH customer service sucks ***. I emailed them over a week ago and called 5 days ago about an issue. No response on either front. They are crap in my book
Cajun
Thats is why you should get cutouts from QTP. They are a forum sponsor and support the site. Also they are alot better too. Warranty aint worth anything if they are not there to support it. I hear and read so many stories like this about DMH. I bet ya they work out of there garage part time.

Maybe you just sounded like an *** on the phone and in your email like you do in this post. Dave was great to deal with and everyone I know who has dealt with him - except you - found him to be a great guy. Last time I spoke with Dave he was purchasing a second CNC machine so he must have one nicely equipped garage..
I hate to rain on your parade, but I also had the same miserable experience with DHM while trying to resolve problems with a friends cutouts. No return of my calls after three attempts. IMO, Cajun has every right to be pissed as hell. For what its worth, Cajun has bent over backwards in providing valuable information and “how to” pectorals in assisting members work on their own C5’s. He has the respect of many forum members, and I highly regard his opinions. I would advise anyone considering DHM to look elsewhere.

Thanks for the support. I have had a huge change of heart on this issue.

Does anyone else sell these besides corvette recycling? They are out of stock and the guy seemed pretty brain dead when I was asking him when he would get more, he said they have some but cannot sell them????

That is a sweet setup. I really liked having a cutout on my SS Camaro. Those were a bit easier since everything funnelled down to just one pipe (y-pipe) so you only needed one cutout.
Those low-profile pieces are sweet. Perfect for the Vette with its minimal ground clearance!
Oh, and I vouch for Cajun as well. Stand-up guy that is going to tell you how it is and not be swayed by others 'claimed' results.
A highly regarded individual on this forum and many others....and I've heard the ladies like his pectorals just fine!
