I just installed the streets myself lol..That brackett I have read is designed to just help secure the header while you are bolting the piece to the heads. There was a big topic here just recently. Lg says to remove but unless your into serious strip action{where they say you may crack the head if left on] I dont see the concern,I left mine on anyways Enjoy your lg streets!

That about sums it up. According Bobby at LG I was told not to use the bracket. My kit actually didn't even ship with one. I guess they have seen issues with the tabs that mount to the flywheel housing. I left the bracket off. It has been about 5 months with no issues.

I would love to see some pictures cause my headers would not come close to mounting to the bellhousing. With the bracket that came with my headers it fit like a glove. That bracket gives the extra 1-2 inches you need to bolt the headers to the housing. At least for me it did.

You definitely need to the bracket in order to attach them to the the flywheel housing. The issue is whether to use it or not. If I had cats I would use it to help support the additional weight. Otherwise, I don't think it matters a whole lot.

On my car I left the bracket on. I think it would give a little extra support, especially with the cats installed. I know Bobby says to remove it, but one of the other guys I spoke to, I don't remember who, said you can leave it on. No issues and everything is fine.
