Just got home from a short drive and as I pulled in the coolant temp was 230,just went out to garage and there in AF on the floor..it seems to be under the reservoir tank again! It's only in the low eighties..what do you think???Change the thermostat(if so to what temp)?CJ.
How much coolant do you have in the system? If you have a leak the coolant level may have dropped to the point there isn't enough to cool the engine. You could also have some air bubbles that have formed due to the leak preventing pressure buildup as required and the coolant boiling.
If your pressure cap has failed the coolant can boil and cause overflow from the cap which ends up under the reservoir.
