My front C6 Z06 shocks came with new rubber bushing for the top. They seem bigger than my 98 C5 bushings. The old ones are 10 years old and probably just smushed. I am finishing it up after lunch so I need some advice before I'm done. Do I use the new C6 bushings or the old 98 ones????
I don't have a pic but it is the rubber bushing that goes on the shock first over the top bolt and slides in the holder. Once that one is in another bushing goes on top of the bolt and then the washer/nut.
I used the new bushings. They say if you use the old ones the car will not ride as high as it does with the new bushings. My car about3/4 inch higher than with old shocks.
I see. I think I will use the new ones and give them awhile to settle in. I'll probably lower on the bolts anyway so I'll just save the old ones. Thanks.
