Installed a Vararam on my 97 and now throws the P0410 "Air System" code. Spoke with Vararam tech a couple of weeks ago and followed their suggestions to no avail. I havn't been able to make contact since. Any suggestions out there?

Mine throws an occasional code..what did they say to do..(I havent yet called them)
your having problems with your air pump IMO not related to the Vararam
You either have a faulty relay or solenoid causing your intermittent
problem this link should help you out http://www.gearchatter.com/viewtopic8567.php
I can't believe the P0410 is not related to the Vararam as it appeared for the first time the day I installed it. I think others have thrown this same code after the install. Isn't the P0410 a result of the increased air flow brought about by the Vararam?
NO, read the link, The air pump has nothing to do with the Vararam.
I have a vararam and know others that have and have never thrown P0410 after install
I'm new to this so please bear with me. From the FSM, the DTC P0410 will also be set if the air / fuel ratio is greater than 13:1 (as might be caused with the Vararam?). The tech guy at Vararam was all too familiar with this issue and basically said it's an air / fuel thing with some cars. He had some suggestions as to how to remedy it (similar to the "break in" procedures in the install instructions), they just didn't work for me.
I guess my best bet is to wait to hear back from Vararam.

After installing your Vararam, did you take the car on a 40-45 minute drive at a constant speed of 55 MPH or better ?
This drive is "required" so that the computer can adjust/reset itself and make adjustments for the added air flow.
I did this when I installed my Vararam and haven't had any issues.
Code p0410 is an air injection code. Since the air injection pump draws it's air supply from the air cleaner, the installation of the vararam could be related. Check the air pump intake hose and make sure it's open and not restricted.

MY BAD. While checking the routing of the AIR intake hose, I found the electrical connector was loose at the AIR pump. My apoligies to all for being such a numb skull. Thanks MaxLean for leading me in that direction.
