Just got a set at Pep Boys. Those ramps, with my floor jack and the 3 ton jackstands that I have, and the car can be up in the air in short order for what ever I want to do. It is never worth doing something cheap and sacrificing your personal safety. I see that at work (I'm in carpenter's union), you can never fully recover from a serious injury, so it's never worth it to take a chance.
Luckily it only got a little plastic part with the jack. The part that broke is the little plastic filler piece that fits the hole in the front quater pannel (kinda looks like an air dam). It also appears to function as a structural piece for the quarter panel / wheel as well.
If you know what I'm talking about do you know where I can get one?
Thanks!
Is it this piece? If so, it's #12455607 filler panel,$42.63 from Gene Culley @ www.gmpartshouse.com

Be glad that you weren't underneath it at the time! The proper jacks and safety measures should not be underestimated even if you are in a hurry. Set the emegency brake and chock both front and rear wheels properly. I am really careful now since I once had a close call!
I had a set of those previously. They wouldn't fit under my corvette. I just ended up my making my own set of ramps out of lumber from menards.
They run the full length of the car so when I drive on them the car is level. And gives me another 6" or so of clearance so I can slide under the car. (I'm skinny )
Been using Rhino ramps for a while now, they've held a fully loaded 1ton pickup (over 2 tons on the ramps) and various vettes and other personal vehicles. I believe they're supposedly good for 10,000lbs. Only downside is that they can occasionally kick out while you're pulling up on them if you lose the rubber feet that are on the front edge. Some members have drilled holes in the concrete and added a simple door latch pin on the back that will slide in the hole to prevent kickouts. Another easy way to prevent kickouts is to put a 2x6 in front of the ramp so the car is that much higher when it starts moving up the rhino ramp.
Yeah but have you been using them on your C5??? My 1999 Vette does not have the clearance to make it up the ramps so I got rid of them.
You can back onto them with no clearance problems. If you want to put the front on them ... a couple of small blocks of 2x4 are enough to get you up onto them .... the front air dam will scrape, but it is made to do that ... you won't harm the car.
