Any suggestions on resetting the FOB if the re-training process, using the dash display does not work? I followed the owner's manual but even after I held the lock and unlock together, the car never learned the code. I should also say that both FOB's lost the ability to operate the doors and trunk and neither currently work. I tried replacing the battery in one, but as stated earlier, none of the procedures in the owner's manual helped solve the problem. Is this indicative of a failure in one of the controllers in the car?

Are you getting valid tire pressure readings ??? If you are, the radio receiver (RFA) is working correctly. Possible the transmit side is out .... I'd check for codes.
I will check it out tonight and will post the codes once I get them. To be honest, I had not check the tire pressure since the transmitter failed so I will check that also.besides the typical fuel level codes P1431H &P0461H,
AFTER CHECKING:
The most important codes (Ithink) are the Remote Function BO-RFA where I have U1096H, 1064H, 1016H. which looks like it has lost communication wiht the IPC,BCM and PCM. I also had the AO-LDCM list B2252,2282 2284 AND U1064. The A1-RDCM gave the same codes, B2253,2283,2285 and U1064 all with the H following.

Reason: updated input
all the codes were H, and the tires are all indicating the correct pressure(compared using a mechanical gage), so I assume (I know) that they are working.

I would clear ALL the codes .... DELETE all of them ...... let's see what comes back.
You say that you followed the procedures in the Owner's Manual .... there are two procedures .... one where the car learns the serial numbers of the "authorized" fobs (you use the DIC to perform this procedure) and the second simpler procedure where the car and fobs synchronize on a "password" (hold lock/unlock).
If the first procedure worked, authorizing the fobs to the car, then the problem is in the fob.
It appears the RFA is working, (since your tire pressures are being read) ... and the fobs seem to have about a 10 year life ..... I'd suspect your fobs need replacing. Do you have any friends witha Corvette (1997 thru 2000) who could lend you a fob to see if you can train that fob to your car ???
Let us know if replacing the FOB does the trick. Are you sure you performed the retraining through the dash display properly? Did you get to the display page that said "train FOB 1"?
I would also be interested to know if once you get the FOB working, if you then get a pull key and wait ten second message within the next 48 hours. I have no facts at all but believe the FOB, pull key 10 seconds and column lock problems are interelated.
