Default 5-wire MAF IAT wires

I just want confirmation that the 2 outside wires are the IAT wires from the 5-wire MAF. They are yellow and purple.
I am re-locating the IAT sensor and ditching the MAF.

Thanks

Purple and tan wires are IAT.

Found this from Redhardsupra...

Looked, but did not find, so beeped it all out.

Delphi 85mm 5-pin MAF is used in trucks, Z06 and is the base for
SLP and the Granatelli "low cost" 85mm MAF

Delphi 76mm 3-pin MAF is used on '98-'02 F-Bodies and older
Corvettes.

Delphi 5-Pin MAF
Connector Pins, left to right, looking into inlet

(Left)
1 IAT output, to F-Body IAT harness, TAN (tan), to PCM C2 Pin 25
2 IAT reference, to F-Body IAT harness, PPL (purple), to PCM C1 Pin 57
3 MAF ground, to FBody MAF harness, BLK (black) to main ground dist.
4 MAF power (IGN), to FBody MAF harness, PNK (pink) to ENG SEN fuse
5 MAF output, to FBody MAF harness, YEL (yellow) to PCM C2 Pin 31
(Right)

'98-'02 3-pin MAF
Connector Pins, left to right, looking into inlet

(Left)
1 MAF output, to FBody MAF harness, YEL (yellow) to PCM C2 Pin 31
2 MAF ground, to FBody MAF harness, BLK (black) to main ground dist.
3 MAF power (IGN), to FBody MAF harness, PNK (pink) to ENG SEN fuse
(Right)

This info may let you wire up your own harness or use these MAFs
in other applications (my purpose for doing this was to use the truck
MAF in a "ghetto flow bench" I'm building).

Thanks. I'm trying to finish up my monster this week and don't want to get anything wrong.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm trying to troubleshoot an intermittent bogus IAT signal so I'm looking at the connector end and will be working towards the PCM as needed. Getting a intermittent high temp signal. Anyway, according to the above, pin 1 should be tan and pin 2 should be purple. That is not what I am seeing:

Now it is entirely possible that one of the guys hacking on my car a little while back might have replaced a connector and switched the wires. Would that make a difference? From what I understand the IAT sensor is just a thermistor, so I don't think there would be a polarity issue. At least not one that would be intermitten, but I'm trying to eliminate all variables.

My plan is to get an extension cable and make is a signal break out box so I can figure out if the IAT sensor itself is flaky, or there is a problem with one of those two wires on the way back to the PCM. So knowing which wires I need to deal with would certainly help.

Thanks...

No polarity on a thermistor.
