CL remove pin
Why did the dealer not simply perform the "standard" fix for the column lock issue and remove the lock plate ????
Is the car currently generating a "PULL KEY WAIT 10 SECONDS' message ????
Who is dumber .... you or the dealer ?????
Check for DTC codes .........

When the AUTOMATIC display completes it will enter MANUAL mode. In that mode display and write down what codes you have.
A code looks like this ...... P 1234 C
The first letter will be either a P, B, C, or U ..... indicating which system the code is for.
The following 4 numbers are the code
The last letter will be a C or an H (sometimes both).
Post the ENTIRE code (as in the example ..... P1234C), and list ALL the codes found.
These are the codes I am getting (but I believe this is caused by my ebcm which I am going to get absfixer to fix).
28-TCS C1214 HC
40-BCM B2587 H
40-BCM B2592 H

The C1214 is a problem that absfixer can address. As you may be aware, check first that the electrical grounds for the EBCM are good before sending the EBCM to absfixer. If the grounds are bad then Brandon at absfixer won't be able to resolve the problem. Search (Advanced) on my user ID or "Bill Curlee" and C1214 for more information on the grounds.
The other two codes (B2587 and B2592) are classic "column lock" codes.
What is the status of the car now ??? Can you start it ??? Can you drive it faster than 2 MPH (that's not a joke question ... on some cars the column lock error causes a fuel cut-off at 2 MPH) ???
Do you have a "Column Lock Bypass" (CLB) installed or available ???
I get the service column lock everytime I start the car.
I do have a column lock installed but I am not sure if it is working correctly.

IF you can turn your wheel with the ignition off, and you hear the actuator cycle, then the lockplate has probably been removed, and a bypass relay harness installed.
You could always remove the panel below the steering column and just see what is installed. To see if the relay is bad, you can try removing the relay harness and reconnecting the factory connector back to the actuator. If the error goes away, the relay is either bad or going bad.
You may have two things going on. The Pull key message may be a security problem. You might try cleaning the key resistor. The service column lock would be tied to a bad relay or actuator.
