Default Turn Signal Help

Hey guys,

Last night while coming home my turn signals stopped working. This morning I went out and checked the fuse and it was good. The four ways still work so i'm out of things to check. Can the turn signal stalk actually go bad? Let me know what i'm missing. Thanks guys!

Do any of the lights blink when the directional is selected?
If any of the lights are blinking and tar blinking quicker than normal you have burnt out bulb.
If the stalk goes out there is a thread for removal and rehab. posted. I believe you don't have to remove the steering wheel. Contacts get burnt and have to be cleaned.
Here is the thread for removing the stalk.

The turn signal flasher is in the hazard switch. This is usually what fails. When the turn signals don't work, try pressing the hazard switch on and off a couple of times and see if the signals come on. If so, then you'll need to replace the hazard switch. Do a search for instructions.

Ok that is the weirdest thing ever. I went out to the garage and hit the flashers checked all the bulbs ... all were working hit the flashers two more times and bingo the turn signals work. I'll search for how to replace the hazrd and thank you a ton, i was so worried I was going to have to replace the turn signal stalk!!

When you realize what it takes to replace the hazard switch .... you're gonna be wishing it was the turn signal switch .....

Default Bi-pass cable

Spend $50 and buy a turn signal bi-pass cable from John. You'll spend 20 minutes installing it and the problem will NEVER return!

What's the bypass cable and who is John? My turn signals sometimes don't work and activating the hazard lights "resets" them. Would the bypass cable fix this problem, and is it easier than replacing the hazard switch?
