Kirban for Christmas!
My son got me a Kirban and a chrome **** for my Z06 for christmans. I have read many post about aftermarket shifters. Any words of wisdom, tips, tricks or warnings I should know about before I install it? :seeya

Congrats on the shifter!
How does the **** attach? Some can be very noisy on an aftermarket shifter. Those that thread mount should be okay. I'm not sure that you can ever get set screw mounted ***** truly quiet because they don't attach rigidly.
Sounds like you've read the postings for tips on shifter noise reduction. My Kirban was very noisy with no noise redux aids. I switched to a Ripper. I installed one in a '99 Vert today. I thought that car's gearbox/shift linkage were quieter than my 2002 Z06.
