C5 Window Regulator/Motor Replacement
I've found the motor at O'Riely, but the regulator assembly seems to be a factory only item. Are there any disadvantages to replacing just the motor?
Also, is there a repair manual (Chilton, Haynes, etc.) availible for the C5?
Thanks.

The only repair manual for the Corvette is the factory Service Manual. The car is too complex for something as simplistic/crappy as a Haynes or Chiltons manual .... the factory manual (it is 3 books) is thousands of pages.
You can order the Service manuals from parts vendors such as ....

or

or direct from the printer/publisher .....

I swapped out my motor and regulator in my passenger door a few years back and it was a fairly easy swap. I found the instructions somewhere here on the forum so you should be able to find them through a search.
I found the regulator and motor assembly on ebay and I think I paid about $125. I think the actual swap took about 2 hours but we were socializing and taking our time as well.
Just remember to mark all of the adjustments and make the new assembly the same. I believe the top corners of the regulator had adjustment screw for the glass. I counted the threads on the old assembly and made the new one match. There is also an adjuster on the front bottom of the door under a rubber grommet. Mark that location before removing the old regulator. By marking all of the adjustment points, I needed no further adjustments once everything was reinstalled.
